Assassin's Creed Reveals Surprising AoT Crossover for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre partnership that breaks conventional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Uncovered
According to the formal announcement, "An unusual encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of prohibited rituals and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The plot presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret sect.
The adventure concentrates on "bizarre trials and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Extra Content
Players who finish the quest will obtain an exclusive katana together with several objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-themed attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe
- Exclusive weapons

Third Free Story Update
This patch also brings the game's newest complimentary story episode, titled "The Enigma." This lighthearted mission partners Naoe and Yasuke as they swap signature techniques: Naoe reveals a theatrical variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-lethal stealth takedowns.
