Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been won on hardcourt
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev claimed his first trophy for nearly 30 months with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament championship match.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has had a challenging year, achieving just one match at the major tournaments and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
His inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serve in specific - led to him dropping out of the elite rankings and eventually separating with long-term trainer Gilles Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually advanced in the last few weeks - peaking in a hard-fought competitive triumph over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's maiden championship since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt since spring of that year.
Victory also means Medvedev has achieved 21 victories at 21 various competitions.
"It's the first time I'm at a event with my two daughters at once, so to secure a trophy is especially meaningful," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my first daughter her name was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had been defeated in his previous six finals, comprising in Halle in the past months.
Medvedev's defensive approach and frequent emotional displays on court had prompted observers to question if his capacity to perform at the top level was finished.
Yet the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, attempting to advance forward and perform positively, supported by an improved serve.
The champion recovered from a disadvantage in the first set against the challenging Moutet, winning 4 of the last five games to go ahead.
The competitors exchanged break points in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his first ATP Tour title, took control to create a final set.
Moutet defended four initial chances in a close final set before the champion broke to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, the winner secured the title with a rally at the net area, with his opponent unable to control a return after over two and a half hours.
